Quside was founded 2017 to develop next-generation quantum entropy sources
Quside is a spin-off of The Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO). It was founded in 2017 by Carlos Abellán and other researchers at ICFO as a way to develop and commercialize photonic and quantum technologies researched during Carlos’ thesis.
The company has developed a fully integrated QES (Quantum Entropy Source) for quantum random number generation on an InP platform (QES-PIC) using standard fabrication techniques only.
Their quantum entropy sources provide high-quality, quantifiable randomness in a fast way, while delivering them in a small, scalable formats for the cybersecurity and telecom industries.
Bullnet Capital invested in Quside in October 2022, and has continued to support the company ever since.
